Ed Rothrock Joins Simpson Performance Products as Vice President of Helmet Engineering

Simpson Performance Products, New Braunfels, Texas – Ed Rothrock has joined Simpson Performance Products as Vice President of Helmet Engineering. Rothrock has over thirty years experience in product design and engineering in the protective head gear industry, most recently with Bell Sports, Inc.

He has won numerous awards including the prestigious Industrial Designers of America’s Silver Certificate Design award and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indiana Section SAE Lewis Schwitzer award. He is responsible for four U.S. Patents in protective helmets. We believe Ed is the most knowledgeable and experienced person in the world on the materials and methods of manufacturing processes, testing and technical aspects of producing Snell rated helmets. Based at the Simpson headquarters in New Braunfels, Texas, Rockroth will lead the Snell 2010 helmet initiative at Simpson. He currently resides with his family in Whittier, California.
